about
Blak Hand Records welcome their fifth release of 2017 with a psychedelic offering from Liverpool band The Electric Lazarus, who release their second single 'Death Valley Sunday' alongside an all-new recorded version of the previously released 'Sometimes I Wonder '. Recorded with producer/engineer Jon Withnall, the songs take their influence from singer Andy Pringle's favourite bands, which include The Velvet Underground, The Jesus and Marychain, The Black Angels, Phil Spector and the post punk sounds of Joy Division/New Order/ Pil.

Very strong debut album (and one of their best) by this fantastic band from Italy. Picking a favourite track was very hard. Papa Jay (Radio Smorgasbord)

Psychedelic Rock reminiscent of early Catherine Wheel and Ride - not a bad thing. Quality musicianship and great use of spoken word sample on You Had It All - possibly Terence McKenna? Update - sample is Alan Watts - thanks to the Angry Arab for putting me right! RIYL Superfjord, Sundial circa 'Other Way Out' and the above. The Socialist Birder
Post-Worthless, Annique Monet makes solo LP of magical, psychedelic pop songs that drift in and out of consciousness. Bandcamp New & Notable May 22, 2015
This Tucson group makes wildly psychedelic shoegaze that sounds as if it's been warped and melted by the desert sun. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 6, 2018
